By accessing or using Framebit ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Framebit ("we," "us," or "our"). Your continued use of the Service after any modifications to these Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.
2. Description of Service
Framebit is a browser-based video editing platform that provides both free tools and premium features. The Service includes, but is not limited to:
- Online video editing with a timeline-based editor
- Free standalone tools such as video trimming, compression, format conversion, audio extraction, and GIF creation
- Premium features including cloud rendering, advanced effects, and additional export options
- Browser-based processing that keeps your files private
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice.
3. User Accounts and Responsibilities
Some features of the Service require you to create an account. When you create an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Maintain the security of your password and accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Not create more than one account for the purpose of abusing free tier limits or promotions
You are solely responsible for any activity that occurs through your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain the confidentiality of your credentials.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Upload, process, or distribute content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
- Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any third party
- Distribute malware, viruses, or any other harmful software
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or any related systems or networks
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service without our prior written consent
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated this Acceptable Use Policy.
5. Intellectual Property
Your content: You retain full ownership of all content you create, upload, or process using the Service. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content. By using the Service, you grant us only the limited, temporary rights necessary to provide the Service to you (such as processing your video files for rendering).
Our platform: The Service, including its original content, features, functionality, design, source code, and branding, is and remains the exclusive property of Framebit. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our explicit written permission.
6. Free and Premium Features
Framebit offers both free and premium tiers of service. Free tools are available without an account for basic video editing tasks processed in your browser.
Premium features may require a paid subscription or credits. Credits are consumed when using certain features such as cloud rendering. The specific pricing, credit costs, and feature availability are detailed on our pricing page and may change over time.
- Credits are non-transferable and non-refundable unless otherwise stated
- Unused credits may expire as described in the applicable plan terms
- We reserve the right to modify pricing, credit allocations, and feature availability with reasonable notice
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Framebit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims arising from or relating to the Service exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred euros (EUR 100), whichever is greater.
8. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion option in your settings.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Reasons for termination may include, but are not limited to, a breach of these Terms, a request by law enforcement, or extended periods of inactivity.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Any provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via email or through a notice on the Service.
Your continued use of the Service after any changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you should discontinue your use of the Service.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Norway.
