Does my video get uploaded to a server?
Not with browser transcription — everything runs on your device. If you choose server transcription for faster results, the audio is sent to our transcription service, but the final captioned video is always rendered in your browser.
What caption styles are available?
Multiple styles are available including standard subtitles, word-highlight captions, and animated caption formats. You can customize font, size, color, and positioning for each style.
What video formats does it support?
The tool accepts MP4, MOV, WebM, AVI, and most other common video formats. The exported file is always MP4.
How accurate is the transcription?
Accuracy depends on audio clarity. Clear speech with minimal background noise typically produces very accurate captions. For higher accuracy, switch to Premium server transcription.
Can I add captions to a video without audio?
Captions are generated from the spoken audio in the video. If there is no audio track or the speech is unclear, transcription will produce no results.
